Jerry Millsaps, a native of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina is the son of Harvey and Shelby Millsaps. Jerry, a loving father himself, has always been dedicated to his family owned business, Pilot Floor Covering. Pilot Floor Covering was started in 1959 by Harvey Millsaps in Pilot Mountain, NC but moved to King, NC in 1962. Jerry, who had always helped his father with the company, was made a full-time employee in 1982 and was named President of the company in 1994. Jerry has dedicated his life to the success of this family business and is always willing to support community functions, like the Surry County Young Life Golf Tournament, Feed Stokes, King Chamber, and more in any way that he can. When asked what sets Pilot Floor Covering apart from other major retailers, Jerry responded that Pilot Floor Covering has been in the community for years and his employees strive to make the business about the customer.
Pilot Floor Covering provides a range of different home improvement options from counter tops and cabinets to many different types of flooring. Jerry works hard, attending Shaw and other retailer conventions, to make sure customers receive the most up-to-date buying options. In 2009, Pilot Floor Covering expanded, opening a second location in Kernersville, NC. This location has previously won 3rd place for the Retail Display Awards in Floor Focus Magazine. The Kernersville location, a Shaw Design Center, offers beautiful displays of different flooring options available through Pilot Floor Covering. Companies like Shaw Floors and Mohawk have been great partners in the growth of Pilot Floor Covering. It is through strong partnerships, word of mouth, and community support that Pilot Floor Covering has become what it is today.

My name is Emily Settle. I’m married and have a 16 year old son. I can’t forget to mention my three fur babies! Side note, hard surface flooring is my friend! I’ve been with Pilot Floor Covering for almost 18 years. I started out as a sales person with zero flooring knowledge. After years of sales, I moved into scheduling and then office management. I am currently the Vice President here at Pilot Floor Covering. I enjoy seeing customers light up when they find what they are looking for in our showroom and the calls afterwards to let us know how happy they are. I also find pride in trying to diffuse a situation if one arises. I believe that communication is key to be successful in any relationship.
